ASPIRE Program: Information for FHLR

As part of our continuous commitment to enhance our business operations and deliver exceptional value to our partners, Roche and its affiliates will upgrade back-end enterprise resource planning (ERP) and finance systems to SAP S/4HANA, a next-generation ERP suite, as part of our global transformation effort called ASPIRE.

Last year, we successfully implemented this system at our Roche Glycart AG site in Schlieren, Switzerland. This year, we will upgrade the F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd (FHLR) Basel and Kaiseraugst sites, with the new system going live on August 10, 2026. Other Roche affiliates will complete the same upgrades in the coming month and years. If you do business with other Roche affiliates, you will hear from them directly.

What to Expect

The FHLR go live is scheduled for August 10, 2026. There will be a blackout period from August 1 to August 9, 2026, during which time - our SAP and related partner systems will be unavailable. Prior to that date, some systems - such as GEP NEXXE and GEP SMART - will shut down to facilitate the transition. Consequently we expect a ramping down of procurement activity during July.

Impacts for suppliers during the ramp-down and blackout phases vary depending on the type of supplier:

Deliveries

Depending on the location (Basel/Kaiseraugst), each site will have a specific delivery freeze period, during which no deliveries can be made, as our systems—including the warehouse system—will be unavailable. Deliveries to the respective warehouses and logistics hubs must follow the schedule below:

Logistic HUB – Kaiseraugst (Building 203)
Last delivery date: 29 July, 12:00 PM
First delivery date after freeze: 10 August

Main Warehouse – Kaiseraugst (Building 231)
Last delivery date: 29 July, 12:00 PM
First delivery date after freeze: 10 August

Warehouse & Logistic HUB – Basel (Building 41)
Last delivery date: 29 July, 12:00 PM
First delivery date after freeze: 10 August

Spare Parts Management – Basel B10 & KAU Building 203
Last delivery date: 24 July, 12:00 PM
First delivery date after freeze: 10 August

Please ensure that all deliveries are scheduled according to these dates to avoid delays or issues. Note: The clinical supply depot located in Building 204, in Kaiseraugst, will not be affected by the cutover and will continue receiving and booking deliveries as usual.

Ramping Up Procurement Related Activities

Following the go-live date, we will begin a controlled ramp-up phase. Procurement-related activities will gradually resume as we ensure all systems are functioning as expected.
